The audience of Evans work is primarily directed toward millennials who wish to strengthen their faith, but also can be inclusive toward any person who is interested in the current millennial view or causes of decline regarding the Church. And in her own case, someone compared her continued writing about Evangelicalism as akin to compulsively checking the Facebook page of a boyfriend you broke up with two years earlier (p. 218). And the notion that a single tradition owns the lockbox on truth is laughable, especially when the truth we’re talking about is I highly recommend this book. Rachel states that 59% of people ages 18-29 have dropped out of church … Why?! The first duty of a prologue is to supply information that is or will be vital to the understanding of the plot. In particular, I love words that speak of God’s love, words that challenge us to explore new ways to participate in God’s Mission, words that comfort us when we are frustrated or disappointed and words that help us reframe our journeys toward new life.What is so powerful about this book is that while it is full of words, it invites us to embrace our Christian journey with all of our senses.
